WHAT WE NEED TO DO
Our ultimate challenge is to secure the purchase of Rose Hill United Reformed Church, and the Eastwood Hall, current home of Chesterfield Studios. This task requires grant applications, fundraising, and sponsorship. However, with the help of our dedicated volunteers and community members, we remain confident in our ability to accomplish this goal.
Nobody said it was easy!
We are splitting the project into three phases. Broadly speaking, this is what we have to do
PHASE 1
-
Raise funds to take ownership of the building and apply for change of use from Chesterfield Borough Council
-
Raise funds to provide RHAC CIC with working capital to administrate, promote and build the RHAC Community
-
Survey and study the needs of the community and what is needed in the building
-
Build a community of volunteers, artists, community groups and users who can promote RHAC and engage with others to spread the word
-
Organise Open Days and engagement with the community
-
Launch a 'Rough and Ready' season, getting the building in use.
PHASE 2
PHASE 3
-
Continue to raise funds to undertake any immediate repairs and maintenance.
-
Start fundraising for larger repairs to the roof and have works carried out - resulting in temporary closure during works.
-
Apply for funding to install lighting, sound and stage equipment for the Church building
-
Installation of equipment into the church building
-
Begin full operation
