HELP US LAUNCH
ROSE HILL ARTS CENTRE

Rose Hill Arts Centre will be a community-driven arts space dedicated to facilitating artistic expression and community engagement.  Our ultimate aim is to build and foster a self-sustaining arts community in the former Rose Hill United Reformed Church. We  are in the process of raising funds to buy the building we hope to call home.

Let's do this

We are Rose Hill Arts Centre CIO, a registered charity with the mission to transform a redundant church into a community arts space for Chesterfield and the wider community.

Our ultimate aim is to purchase the freehold of the building, own, maintain and manage it for everyone to enjoy.

Phase One

The Vision

Our ultimate goal is to preserve the Grade II listed church building and re-open it as an arts centre with regularly programmed concerts, performances and exhibitions.

The first task is to re-open the building and hire it to community groups in its current state. We then hope to carry out a series of works to improve and enhance the building and its impact on the community.

  • Install a blackout curtain around the inner walls that can be pulled to form a performance space on the current raised area

  • Install additional toilets at the rear of the building

  • Improve safety on the balcony

Thinking outside the box

We have a vision for a new Rose Garden enclosing the courtyard area into a bright and airy space, linking the two two buildings, improving accesibility and offering a striking new addition to Chesterfield town centre.
